Wigmore (NZ) (Sweynesse) stormed home to capture the Gr.1 South Australian Derby (2500m) at Morphettville, arriving in time after a perfectly judged ride from Teo Nugent.
The New Zealand Derby fourth placegetter was initially prepared by Caley Myers before being secured by bloodstock agent Phill Cataldo for OTI Racing and he is now trained by Phillip Stokes in Australia. Wigmore was originally a $25,000 purchase from Book 2 of the 2024 New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale out of Ralph Thoroughbreds draft.
