The fixtures that were redrawn after last weekend was rained off were severely hit and miss. Unfortunately both our Women's and our Franklin Law Men's First team's oppositions defaulted, while this gave them both a win on paper, it left the players frustrated with no game to play.
This was easily solved by some, while others took different routes to finding a match to play. Women's First team captain and leading goal scorer Petra Batters and Ashley Cowley found their way into the Men's Reserves team, with Ashley being given a last minute call up to the starting line up. Both of our gals proved they were no pushover, took up their duties with no complaints, and absolutely looked the part. Neither player looked out of place on the pitch and would be welcomed back into the team by the boys should they want to play again. The result didn't go the right way for the Reserves, but both Ashley and Petra jointly earned a rightly deserved player of the day shout.
Our Women continued to do us proud on Sunday, with a 2-0 victory leading into the end of the season. Odd Sox won their match, keeping them in the title race. OMY earned a draw, meaning they earned promotion this year. Devastatingly, Barbarians had their default victory taken off them, and lost the replay.
Our 17th grade teams enjoyed some friendlies as one last chance to celebrate their teams and finish their season.
As ever, we would like to give a huge thanks to our major partners:

As we near the end of the season, our Franklin Law Men's Reserves can no longer win the league, but they can definitely upset the apple cart, and stop their opposition for tomorrow from winning it.
They line up tomorrow in a historical moment, with TWO of our Women's First Team players playing for them. Petra and Ashley find themselves without a game on Sunday, with their opposition having defaulted, so they will be lining up with the Reserves. As far as we know, this is not only the highest league we have had a Women's player appear in, but we have never had two play in the same game.
We're looking forward to it, ladies!

The fixtures have been redrawn after last week's rain out and we're on for what was a full week, until the Franklin Law Men's First team's opposition defaulted yet again. Our other men's teams all have games scheduled, our Women's teams are both at home on Sunday, and some of our youth teams have a friendlies organised, including two who are scheduled to play against one another.
Have a great weekend everyone!

This weekend, all of our games were called off due to the terrible weather coming across the city. We weren't keen on that, having already decided this would be our weekend to celebrate our club, so we staged our own games. Most of our teams who were due to play were all prepped and ready, so we sent them out in the rain to play. Members from most of our senior men's teams, plus some friends, jumped into some friendly games. All of the players enjoyed the weather for the ducks, playing the winter sport we all love, and they all showed the club spirit that we were there to celebrate. Well done to all for making what could have been a major disappointment into a fantastic day with mates!

Unfortunately, and not for the first time this season, or this weekend, our fixtures have been cancelled.
Our Women's teams games and our Sunday Club Day have both been cancelled.
We're sorry we don't get to continue the formal celebration of our club, but we're incredibly proud and thankful for the people that made today more than what it could have been.

After a day of cancellations for our men's teams the club is proud to present our two women's teams that are playing at Fortress Bledisloe tomorrow. Our newly formed reserves team face off against Te Atatu, a team that they will be looking to grab all 3 points off. The teams momentum has grown stronger each week and the gals will be looking to see out the rest of the season on a high. Meanwhile, at 1pm our women's first team face off against Takapuna FC in the reverse fixture. After picking up a solid win against them into the first round the girls will be looking for a win to cement their position at top of the table.
As it's club day/weekend we'd love to see as many supporters on the sideline as possible. With the weather clearing up it's the perfect time to fill the balcony and support your favourite gals!! Two games. One club. A massive Sunday at Bledisloe. Let's go girls!

With the unfortunate late announcement that all of this afternoon's football has been called off, we are pushing ahead with our club day, rain hail or shine. We have 4 teams worth of guys who are keen to play so are going to have some exhibition matches. Games kick off at 2pm. All Life Members, Coaches, former players, and Partners are still invited to come down and enjoy the festivities today and tomorrow!
Here is a reminder of part of what we're here to celebrate, four years ago we opened our brand new pitch and gave the pitch and our new clubrooms a blessing. We then followed the first official game on the pitch with an exhibition match against a Waiuku XI that featured 6 Pukekohe AFC Presidents all on the pitch at the same time!
The Bledisloe Park Sports Centre was opened in 2016 after both our old clubrooms and those of Pukekohe Metro Cricket Club were demolished to make room for the joint clubrooms. Prior to this, our clubrooms had been refurbished by a group of Pukekohe High School Students led by club members and teachers Marty Bennett and Jay Pressnell.
Please come down to share in the celebration!

The last game of the season for our Franklin Law Men's First team ended with a default win. The Reserves take the mantle in their match with South Auckland Rangers, who sit just above them on the table, with the opportunity to still win the league on the line, our boys will be well up for the match.
The main game at home will be our Odd Sox, who are also title chasing, head along to support the lads, but also head down to our club day to support all of our teams, check out the clubrooms and thank our major club partners!
