Throwback to when we took Ollie to his 20th fight from training in Carparks and any spare spaces we could get our hands on. He was up against a very strong up and comer, but we had faith in him to bring home the goods. When Oli first came to us he had a tough run with his fight record. Even though that was the case, there was one thing that stood out to me. Is that he’s got heart! Heart is definitely one thing that you can’t teach. Regardless of the fight experience he had, he stuck with me training for 10months before even considering getting into the ring. Just to ensure we got all the fundamentals sound. Even though we had him fighting only for 3 times, i am proud to have been able to have worked with such a dedicated athlete. We even had a small team training back then too! Just goes to show there’s a method to the madness! Stick to the training and trust the process.
And thanks to Woolston for sending him our ways. 🙏🏽 until next time big man 👊🏽

Been a pleasure having you on board, big man. From your Muay Thai/MMA roots to becoming quite a tidy boxer, it’s been great being a part of your progress and seeing the impact you’ve had on the team.
You’ll definitely be missed around the gym, but we’re stoked to see what comes next for you.
Good luck with everything ahead, brother. We’ll catch you next time we’re up in CHCH — or when you make your way back down our way.

Back to back to back wins this weekend!
2 x South Island Golden Elite Novice Champs, and 1 x happy coach. Manawa boxed beautifully in his fight against a strong opponent. Showing that he can deal well with adversity, coming back to put 3 x 8 counts on his opponent through out the last 2 rounds. Fantastic assistant coaching by Lepi and Harlem throughout this tournament.
Karl and Sarah had some great rounds of sparring aswell, so needless to say, this trip was a great success. So much love for this team here! ❤️
