Congratulations to my lovely pupil Elsie Findlay who rode beautifully at SISS! (South Island Secondary Schools) She piloted her gorgeous pony Grace to 2nd and 4th in her two (big!) dressage classes. ⭐️👏⭐️👏 And Elsie is not even at high school yet! I am so proud of her!

I thought I’d give it a bash in July in Queenstown 🥶😂 Those who live here know just how slowly things soak here in the winter! It means beet is often not an option 🧊❄️🥶⛸️⛷️🎿

This is cold water from a bucket which was frozen overnight and has defrosted (it’s 2pm now) and the sack of beet has been in a shed which was below freezing overnight.
It’s not an instant soak in a Queenstown winter - it took about 3-5 minutes to go completely mashy - but it’s far superior soaking time wise than our usual Betabeet, Sugarbeet or Speedibeet.
I think this will be super handy for people, particularly if you don’t have access to hot water 🚿
