🏔️🏆 2026 La Coupe de Montagnes - The Mountain Cup 🏔️🏆

What. A. Weekend!!!!! The level of Hockey in every single game was just pure fire 🔥 So many games down to the wire with shootouts, overtime’s and plenty of penalties 🏒

Thank you to the IHNZ Officials and Queenstown Ice Hockey Club in organising yet again another incredibly successful tournament that is undoubtably one of the best in the country 🏒

Always impressed with our crew for keeping these events and tournaments running smoothly, even more impressive is they’re playing games between shifts and of course, winning 😜 🏆

Thanks to all the Players and their supporters for putting up such epic games to watch, the barn was packed and was getting loud 🎉🏒

The 2026 Season is quickly coming to a close, so it was wonderful to catch up with you all before we hit Summer Break 😎

The Mountain Cup Finals day is well and truly kicked off - our A Grade Final is kicking off shortly, with B and C grade finals afterwards!! It’s completely free to watch, and the bar opens at 11a, so grab a good seat and lock in for the 2026 Mountain Cup Finals! 🎉🏆🏆

Exciting news for the Ice Blacks 2027 season!

Ice Hockey Australia and Ice Hockey New Zealand have confirmed the Trans-Tasman International Series will return to Melbourne again next year, with the Mighty Roos set to face the Ice Blacks over three games at O'Brien Icehouse from 12 to 14 March 2027.

Interest in Ice Hockey is booming across Australia and New Zealand and this series adds another international fixture in Melbourne, Australia’s sporting capital. It builds on the strong turnout for the sold-out 2026 Trans-Tasman series as well as the recent Australian Ice Hockey League season and 2026 Finals at O’Brien Icehouse played in front of capacity crowds at the Icehouse.

In addition to the upcoming series between both nation’s men’s teams, Ice Hockey New Zealand and Ice Hockey Australia are excited to announce that the women’s Trans-Tasman Challenge will return to New Zealand in 2027, with more information to be shared soon.

Final call for registrations for the upcoming Auckland Youth Development Camp, 23 - 26 October 2026 (Labour Weekend)!

Players will be joined by USA Hockey coaches Marcie Kierpiec and Rick Murray.

Marcie specialises in power skating, and has worked with notable players such as the NHL’s Quinn Hughes (Minnesota Wild), Brady Tkachuk (Florida Panthers), K’Andre Miller (Carolina Hurricanes) and Victor Mancini (Vancouver Canucks).

Rick Murray is the associate coach in chief of goaltending, for the Southeast District of USA Hockey, and will be assisting with our goaltenders throughout the camp.

Limited places are remaining, with registrations open for players born 2008-2019.
