The New Zealand trout fishery is under direct assault and we need your help !
The Indigenous Freshwater Fish Amendment Bill aims to provide better protection for indigenous fish such as, whitebait etc, but the Bill also poses a serious threat to trout and angling.
It allows trout and salmon to be removed from particular rivers and lakes, even if they are significant trout and salmon fisheries. Fish & Game was not consulted on this Bill and it is vital anglers make their feelings known about it.

From hook up to cook up. We normally operate on a catch and release system but once in a blue moon it's good to enjoy the catch

We had rain, thunder and lightening today and soaked to the bone but the fish don't stop feeding because it's raining here is proof. Caught on fly and lure.

Absolutely amazing day today with Robin, Tish and Malcolm. Robin pictured here fought for 90 minutes with a monster Brown that managed to wrap itself around the landing net at the last second!!! We still counted it though as it was well and truly beaten and flanking in the shallows... (either that of it was very clever).
