Queenstown Cricket Club Whilst the ground is generally reserved for such matches, several Senior Club games are able to be played on the Main Oval throughout the season.

Welcome to QUEENSTOWN CRICKET CLUB

Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu is Queenstown, New Zealand's premier resort destination and home to the QUEENSTOWN CRICKET CLUB. One of Central Otago's leading Cricket Clubs, the QUEENSTOWN CRICKET CLUB not only enjoys playing its home matches in one of the most picturesque landscapes found anywhere in the world, it also has the privilege of playing on some of the very best wickets in New Zealand

The Queenstown Events Centre, just 8km from the City Centre and adjacent to the Queenstown International Airport, is where you will find the home grounds of the QUEENSTOWN CRICKET CLUB. With access to four turf wickets, two artificial wickets and both indoor and outdoor practice facilities the club is well serviced with facilities for its members. The No 1 Ground on the Main Oval at the Queenstown Events Centre also hosts regular One Day International Cricket Matches as well as NZ Domestic One Day and Four Day Matches. The Club fields three teams in the Senior Grade Competition and has a very large Junior Section with a number of teams entered into Saturday morning and afternoon competitions. For those Juniors just getting started in the game the Club runs the Milo Have-A-Go and Kiwi Cricket programmes. The season generally starts in October and runs through until mid to late March. A break in competitions takes place over the Christmas Holiday period. Take your time to check out our website. We welcome new members.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and celebrated our Junior Club Open Day last week!

We’re so grateful to everyone who braved the weather and helped make it such a great day. Despite the conditions, we got through it together!

A special thank you to all those who helped make the day possible:

💙 Our amazing club volunteers – from setting up and helping with uniform sales to packing everything down at the end. We couldn’t have done it without you!

🔥 Bayleys Queenstown – thank you for providing and cooking the BBQ and keeping everyone well fed!

🏏 Sporting Edge – thank you for providing discounts and gear to help our players get ready for the season ahead.

👕 Everyone who donated second-hand gear – thank you for your generosity and for helping us provide gear for those who need it.

🚒 Frankton Volunteer Fire Brigade – thank you not only for everything you do for our community but also for coming along and giving our young players some extra fun with the fire trucks and hoses!

🏏Otago Country Cricket - Thank you for providing skills and games for our young members.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our community and everyone who helped make our Open Day a success. 💙

Now, we look forward to kicking off the season, with trainings and matches getting underway over the coming weeks. Bring on the season! 🏏🙌
