**SATURDAY SWIM TOMORROW CANCELLED** 🌧 🌧

Hi everyone, as much as you were all looking forward to a freezing swim in murky water, we’ve made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s usual club swim.

With the amount of rain we’ve had, the lake is full of debris and who knows what (e coli 💩).

While we can’t stop anyone swimming, if you do go it’s at your own risk!

We had thought of doing an indoor swim at the Events Centre, but there’s a big sporting event on so parking will be tight.

Might be a good weekend for an alternate activity!! See you all next Saturday!

Our amazing Ice Queens Anneke and Bethany are heading to the World Championships in Romania in January and would love your support! To raise money they have some sponsorship towels. The towels have numbers 1-100 on, pick a number and donate that amount! This is such a great cause and these ladies have done so much for our club, let’s help them out! Our Changing World: Cold water swimming - panacea or peril? .

Well done to all our swimmers on Saturday! We had 11 swimmers in sunny blustery conditions! Really well done team!

We held our AGM and film night on Sunday. It was a great evening with lots of discussion, pizza and some great films! We’ve also recruited some new committee members! Thanks to Digby and Laeti for stepping up 🕺 A huge thanks to Mercy, Sara, Meredith and Craig for being on the committee. An even bigger thanks to Richie who is stepping down after many many years. He will still be running the pool swim sessions 🏊‍♀️ Our committee for this year is Neil, Bresita, Lucas, Bethany, Paul, Laeti and Digby, with Neil stepping up to be President 🤴. Exciting day tomorrow! We’ve got our Film night and AGM, Te Atamira at 5:30. If you could sign up at Humanatix or Facebook, that would be great for numbers (but also please just come along). We’ve our regular Saturday morning swim, 9am at the Scout Hut. This will be led by the wonderful Craig - thanks Craig! Some of our adventurous swimmers are heading out on a mission across the lake later in the morning. How exciting!

Join us for a swim today, we’ve lots of the committee running at the Te Anau half marathon, so if there is nobody there to open up drop us a message. Good luck to all those running today!

As an incorporated society, and because we love it, we need to have an Annual General Meeting. This is where we celebrate what we’ve done in the past year and figure out what fun stuff to do in the next year.
