"One step, one hug, one smile, one wave at a time" - This is Johnny’s story.

“One step, one hug, one smile, one wave at a time” 🌟I first met Johnny in Ahipara during Māori Surf Nationals last year. With a laugh that cleared the sky, he had an infectious stoke about him, especially when he talked about martial arts and his beloved friends @refinery.whaingaroa I recently crossed paths with him again in Whāingaroa, Raglan, and I went to listen to his story at his Dōjō (stage). Coming back to the campsite, I told my dear friend @laurencrerarvisuals , “ I don’t think I have the words to describe how beautiful that kōrero was” Life is about the balance of spiritual/social interaction, physical, emotional (“the way you relate to the world”) and mental states. In the water, on the dōjō, it’s the same balance that is needed. Johnny shared with me his take on life “I don’t think any of that was a coincidence, I was meant to go through that, to do that, to learn something from it” I was meant to learn something from him too. Strength in sharing vulnerability that made us stronger. In connections that we all walk into when we open up our hearts and horizons within and outside of ourselves. This is Johnny’s story.

Kia Ora Whanau, school holidays have officially began and with that all karate and kids movement classes will not be running until the new term starts up!! All Muay Thai/Kickboxing and Boxfit classes with be running per usual 😊

Just a quick post to let you know we're back on deck as of tonight Monday 24th of June. All timetabled classes will be back up and running.

Thanks heaps for the patience and consideration while the dojo was being moved this past month. Aroha nui kia koutou katoa, love and thanks to you all.

Lets all get back in there and do what we love doing!

Thanks heaps for your patience and understanding in waiting for the dojo to re open.

This week we'll be going through the final process of tying the building down, repairing the floors and also re assembling stairs and ramps for the entry and exit points.

All going according to plan we should be open again next Monday 24th June. Please spread the word.

Massive thanks to everyone for being patient with the dojo shift these past few weeks. All things going to plan we should hopefully be back up and running next Monday the 17th June.
