My goal is that every woman who walks through my door leaves believing she is stronger than she thought, more capable than she imagined, and worthy of putting herself first!

You may have heard that PCOS now has a new name: PMOS—Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.

The new name reflects that this condition is about far more than ovarian cysts. It can affect hormones, periods, energy, metabolic health, skin, fertility and emotional wellbeing.

Most importantly, PMOS is not caused by laziness or a lack of willpower.

Healthy eating, regular movement and strength training can support overall health—even when they don’t lead to weight loss.

If you’re struggling with symptoms, please speak with your GP. My role is to help you find safe, manageable ways to move, build strength and create healthy habits without punishment or judgement.

Had you heard about the name change yet?

You don’t have to give up warm, comforting meals to work towards your weight goals.

On cooler days, try building a meal that satisfies you:
🥣 Add chicken, beans or lentils to vegetable soup. 🥔 Top a baked potato with tuna or beans, with vegetables alongside. 🍲 Bulk out a casserole with extra vegetables and lentils.

Protein and fibre help make meals filling. Portions still matter, but making dinner smaller and smaller isn’t the only change available to you.

One practical tip: freeze an extra serving for the evening you’re too tired to cook. Make things easier for yourself.

What’s your favourite comfort meal: soup, casserole or a roast?

If you’d like support with realistic habits and getting stronger, message me to ask about working together.

Week 1's challenge has been a great success, with members giving the 250m row a go.
Week 2 starts on Monday. Longest plank.
A couple of rules:
You must be supervised by a staff member and
have fun!

How often do you get to the end of the day and realise you haven’t had a moment to yourself?

Between work, family and everyone needing something, our own needs can slip to the bottom of the list.

Today, try a small pause.

Put your feet on the floor. Let your shoulders soften. Take a few slow, comfortable breaths—no forcing or holding.

Then ask yourself: “What would help me right now?”
Perhaps it’s lunch, a short walk, asking for help, or leaving one job until tomorrow.

A pause won’t remove the pressures you’re facing, but you’re allowed a little breathing space within them.

Which would you choose today: a quiet cuppa, fresh air or some music?

“I just don’t feel like myself.”

Perhaps your sleep is unsettled, your patience is thinner, or you walk into a room and forget what you went in for.

These changes can happen during perimenopause. They aren’t a personal failing, and you don’t have to simply put up with them.

Start with manageable support: regular meals, movement that suits your energy, and time to wind down.

Keep a note of changes and speak with your GP if symptoms are affecting everyday life. Not everything is hormonal, so getting checked matters.

My role is to help you build strength, confidence and habits that work around your life.

What would you like more practical tips on: sleep, strength or food? No need to share anything personal 💜

Strength training is not only about changing how your body looks.

It helps us keep doing the things that matter—carrying groceries, getting up from the floor, protecting our bones, staying steady and feeling capable.

If winter has interrupted your training, come back lighter and slower.

Your first session back does not need to prove anything. It simply needs to happen.

What everyday task would you love to feel stronger doing?

If fat loss feels harder through winter, you are not imagining the extra challenge.
Cold, wet days can mean less everyday movement, more time indoors and stronger cravings for warm comfort food.
The answer is not to eat tiny cold salads or punish yourself with cardio.
Keep meals warm and satisfying, include protein and vegetables, plan your afternoon snack and look for short pockets of movement.
A ten-minute walk still counts—and three ten-minute walks across the day count too.
Which winter barrier gets you most: cravings, low energy or less movement?

24/08/2026

As we move through the last stretch of winter, you might be feeling tired, flat or completely out of routine.

You do not need to punish yourself into feeling better.

Start with one small promise you can keep: a ten-minute walk, an earlier bedtime, a proper lunch or two strength sessions this week.

Wellness is not all or nothing. The small things you repeat are what carry you into spring feeling stronger—inside and out.

What is one small promise you can keep for yourself this week?

Over the last 7 months I have had the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with some pretty amazing people.

Today, on what would have been Mum’s 88th birthday, I was reminded again just how lucky I am.

As my reception shift was finishing, the lovely Claire came in especially to see me with a beautiful bunch of flowers — white roses and white freesia — and the most thoughtful card. 🤍 I really don’t think she realised just how much that meant to me today.

I often talk about how lucky I am to be a small part of my clients’ lives and their journeys. I get to watch them become stronger, achieve things they didn’t think they could, build confidence and sometimes completely change their lives.

But what they probably don’t realise is what they have done for me too.

The last 7 months have included some of the hardest days of my life. There have been days when turning up and putting a smile on my face hasn’t been easy. Yet my clients, and so many of the people I have met along the way, have unknowingly helped carry me through some of those days.

The conversations, the laughs, the hugs, watching someone achieve something they have worked so hard for, or simply having someone walk through the door pleased to see me — it has all meant more than you probably know.

I may only be a small part of your lives and your journeys, but you have become a pretty important part of mine too.

Thank you to every one of you, and a very special thank you to Claire for today. 🤍

How lucky am I to get to do what I do. # # #
