Rakahuri Rage | NCSRT 2021 This family-friendly event offers a challenge for riders of all skill levels and experience.  You'll compete in a team of 2-4 riders, or as a solo rider, over a 6km loop course featuring single track and stop bank roads.  The team which completes the most laps during the 6-hour race wins.

Big thanks to everyone who took part in our Rakahuri 123 MTB race yesterday. Everyone seemed to enjoy the track and the race format and we are encouraged enough by this positive feedback to bring it back for another go next year.

FINAL DAYS TO ENTER THE RAKAHURI 123 RACE!

Weather is looking great for Sunday and we've pushed out the start time so you can still watch the rugby AND come and ride in this new event. This will be a great ride for the whole family so make sure you enter at www.rakahuri-rage.nz before 5pm Friday.

CHANGE OF START TIME FOR RAKAHURI 123 RACE

We were reminded today that the Rugby World Cup final is on the morning of the Rakahuri 123 MTB race - could explain why entries have been slow to come in??

Anyway to accommodate this we are moving the start time for the first lap of the Rakahuri 123 to 11am, with second lap at 12pm and last lap at 1pm.

Rakahuri Rage | NCSRT 2021 Welcome to the North Canterbury Sport & Recreation Trust’s new mountainbike event - the Rakahuri 123 Mountainbike Race.  

Three of us managed to sneak out of the office today to recce the Rakahuri Trail ahead of the Rakahuri 123 MTB race on 29th Oct. Despite a bit of rain last night the track is in great nick and we are looking forward to an awesome event.

Join us on Sunday 29th of October for our new mountain bike event - the Rakahuri 123 MTB race. This race have been designed to cater for all speed and skill levels, with riders as young as 8 years old able to take part. For the more serious riders it'll be a great warm up ahead of the 6/12hr event the following weekend.

Please note this is NOT Rakahuri Rage 2.0! Its a whole new event with a different format and using a different part of the Rakahuri Trail that is fun and challenging for everyone.

You'll choose to ride 1, 2 or 3 laps of the 12km course based out of the Rangiora Showgrounds. While you'll race as an individual there is an option to form "teams" with your friends, family, school or workmates to create an extra level of competition and fun.
