As we celebrate Matariki, we also celebrate something incredibly special - the journey, growth, and achievements of our amazing Rotorua HipHop whānau throughout the past year 🖤🤍
Join us as we come together to share kai, laughter, stories and memories while honouring the incredible rangatahi, whānau, sponsors, businesses and community who continue to make this kaupapa possible 💫
Matariki is a time to reflect on how far we've come, celebrate where we are today, and look forward with hope to where we're going together 🫶 We'd love for you to join us as we celebrate another unforgettable year of connection, culture, manaakitanga and community 💫

🏆 Rotorua HipHop Rangatahi Crew - 1st Place - Large Group Catergory 🏆
So many talented young people took the stage tonight and the level of talent was honestly inspiring 😍 But standing there watching OUR rangatahi - the ones I’ve shared endless laughs with, emotional moments with, stressful rehearsals with, sweaty practises, tears, sore bodies, little scraps, bruises and battles along the way was something I will carry with me forever 💯🤍
People only see the performance but they don’t always see the journey behind it 🥹 The long nights, the self-doubt, the discipline, the commitment, the sacrifices, the growth, the moments of wanting to give up but continuing anyway 🤍 Watching these rangatahi rise above all of that and leave everything on that stage made me unbelievably proud 🖤
This group is more than dance to me 💯 It’s whānau 🫶 It’s belonging 💫 It’s healing ✨ It’s confidence 😊 It’s creating a safe space where our young people can be fully themselves, be uplifted, supported and reminded of how powerful they truly are 🤍
To my rangatahi - thank you for trusting me, growing with me and allowing me to walk alongside you all on this journey ♥️ You represented not only yourselves, but your families, our kaupapa and our entire HipHop whānau with mana tonight 🤍 No matter where life takes you, never forget the magic you carry within yourselves 🖤
1st place is amazing… but the real win will always be the love, connection and memories we continue to build together 🫶🏽✨
