Saturday, we came together to celebrate something much bigger than trophies.

We celebrated the people who make the Ngongotahā Chiefs what they are — our players, coaches, managers, volunteers, sponsors and, most importantly, our whānau. 🫶🏽🏉

Every player who pulled on that jersey this season has their own story. The early mornings, the training sessions, the tough games, the wins, the losses, the laughs, the frustrations and the moments that made us proud.

And through it all, you kept turning up.

You kept putting on that jersey.

You kept fighting for the person beside you.

Congratulations from everyone at the Ngongotaha Rugby League Club to Maya Tebutt on signing her official contract with the Cowboys! Maia plays for the U16 Kotiro White team.
We wish you the absolute best on this exciting next chapter in your league journey, Maya—our whole club community will be cheering you on every step of the way!

Our club’s first Trans-Tasman pathways recruit, 16-year-old South African born, New Zealand resident Maya Tebbutt signed a four-year deal with the club earlier this year. A junior NZ National athletics champion and NZ Junior Global 7s player, Tebbutt will become an NRLW Supp contracted player in 2028, before joining the Top 24 in 2029.

Huge congratulations to both NGO Blue and NGO White for taking out their semi-final games in the Waikato competition! You’ve both had a hard season with all the travelling, and now you’ll be facing off against each other in the GRAND FINAL next week!
