It was such a busy weekend last weekend with 6 of our teams playing at Kurangai that we forgot to share any pics or the draw 🤦🏽‍♀️. And this weekend we have our Classics back out on court, as well as a Masters team and a team of our young ones.

Yay Milz!!! So well deserved. An absolute Kahu Netball legend. Not only is she back coaching our Kahu Tri team this year, she’s still a massive part of our netball committee, as well as everything else she does for the club, we’d be lost without her. She won’t be liking this recognition but she really does deserve a shout out. Proud of you our mate!!!

Waikite are celebrating 125 years and we’re honoured to be a part of it. Thanks to Uru and Waikite Netball for inviting us along and organising some netball games, we can’t wait.

The netball will now be held at the Rotorua Intermediate School gym. Then we can head to Waikite to support our JAB kids and rugby boys.

Kia ora e te whanau, here is the schedule for our 125 Years Whanau Day this Sunday.

We are taking this opportunity to not only celebrate our club, but also the special connection between Waikite and our whanaunga at Kahukura.

Did you know that we began as one club, the Ohinemutu Rugby Club? Before eventually splitting into two clubs, both named after puna ariki in Ohinemutu?

As both clubs grew, so too did the sports we offered, and today our teams continue to proudly carry the names of the puna ariki we represent.

This Sunday, Waikite and Kahukura go head-to-head across both netball and rugby as part of our 125th celebrations.

Bring the whanau down, and help us celebrate not only our club but, the whakapapa and connection that has linked our two clubs for generations.

FYI - The date for the softball muster has been changed - it’s now on Sunday, 6th September 🔴⚪️🔵
