Our July Sale is here!

For years, July meant one thing for us—the Rotorua Home & Lifestyle Show. Sadly, that event is no longer running, so this year we're bringing our one and only annual clothing sale home to Hamills.

The best part? You don't have to pay an entry fee to grab a bargain!

From Friday to Sunday, we've filled the store with sale racks priced at:

🟢 $15
🟢 $20
🟢 $30
🟢 $50
🟢 $80
🟢 $100

Plus a Half Price Rack and plenty of other deals, with loads of items more than 50% off.

Whether you're after hunting gear, fishing clothing, workwear or just a winter bargain, it's worth taking the time to hunt through the racks—you never know what you'll find.

Three days only. One sale a year. Don't miss it!

It's been a while...

We've been a little quieter than usual on social media, but behind the scenes it's been anything but.

The team has been busy doing what we love—chasing trout, hunting deer and pigs, game bird shooting, getting the bows back out, and making the most of another bluefin tuna season.

Around the shop we've been busy too, including expanding the store into the building next door (more on that soon!).

One thing that hasn't changed is the team behind the counter. Between Malcolm, Phil, Pete, Brad, Jacob, Tanu and Jim helping out, there's more than 160 years of combined hunting and fishing experience ready to share.

There's always something happening around Hamills, so we'll do a better job of bringing you along for the ride—sharing local knowledge, adventures from the team, new gear and whatever's happening out there.

We've always believed Hamills is more than just a shop. It's a place where hunters and fishers can swap stories, get honest advice, and talk to people who actually spend time in the outdoors. That's not changing anytime soon.

Finally got back on the sand. Went for a day mission over the low tide and found some amazing looking water with all the signs of fish and it didn't disappoint. Between 10am and 1pm managed to bag a good feed. Definitely casting distance and small fresh baits are the key points in bright still conditions like this.

Sighting, ammo testing, thermals, night vision, ballistics, drop charts, custom turrets... we actually do it all... like a real gun shop with actual customer service should do. , we got you.
