Following the success of our very first event last year, Rotorua Triathlon Club is excited to bring the Adaptive Tri back for a second year.

Designed especially for tamariki and rangatahi aged 5+ with physical, intellectual and/or sensory disabilities, it’s all about giving it a go, having fun and experiencing the thrill of crossing that triathlon finish line!

Our club is full of pretty cool people doing pretty epic stuff so it was nice to acknowledge some of them at our AGM/Awards Afternoon last weekend. Make sure you join the club again this season to be eligible for these awesome trophies 🏆

We also awarded our Club Champs Trophies. Club Champs were Xterra Rotorua this year - we got back in touch with our multisport and X tri roots 💙. Make sure you enter next years Club Champs event (TBC) to be eligible for these ones!

The AGM also saw a small changing of the guard.. with some committee members stepping down, including (sadly) our legendary President, Bones. But we have some awesome new members stepping in so it's shaping up to be another ripper and busy season in 26/27 - Stay tuned ✨

RATS AGM

Its that time of year again! Join us for our AGM on Sunday 19 July 4:30 - 6:30 at Good Eastern Taphouse 💙

Join us as we reflect on the season been (spoiler- it was awesome), award some trophies and elect the committee for the coming season. We have a few members stepping down so would be amazing to have some fresh people and ideas! Feel free to have a chat to one of the exitsing members if you are interested 🥰

Thanks to everyone who came out and raced, volunteered or supported over the three events for the duathlon series! We hope you loved it as much as we did!

Massive shout out to Claire Graham and her team for organising the three events and Tremains Real Estate for sponsoring and keeping us fed!

That also wraps up our events for the season! The committee are busy recharging to bring you another jam packed season starting in October with the return of Open Water Swims 💙.

RACE DAY TOMORROW

Final race of the series is tomorrow and we can't wait🎉.

📆If you missed online entries - dont worry - you can enter on the day. There is a $5 late fee but head over to the registration tent from 8 AM and the crew will get you entered.

⏰ First race kicks off at 9AM and we aim to wrap up the day around 11 / 11:30PM with prize giving. Make sure you stick around for this

👫Volunteer briefing is 8:15AM, meet at the registration tent. Volunteers help run the day so if you are able to give us a hand on the day, talk to the crew at the registration tent and they can get you set up with a cool high vis and coffee voucher. Many hands make light work as they say!

🌤 Weather forecast is looking good! But as always, bring your layers, it does tend to get a bit chilly up there.

Finally remember to have fun, give your mates a high five and enjoy the day! It's just about getting out there and getting it done. See you soon 💙
