Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we have had to cancel Junior Coaching today, Friday 4th September.

We’re disappointed to miss another session, but we’re hopeful for some better weather next week! ☀️

Well done lads on a great Secondary School tournament week in Christchurch

The Rotorua Boys’ High School Senior Golf Team has finished three shots short of securing the school a seventh National title, finishing runner-up at the 2026 New Zealand Secondary Schools National Golf Championship at McLeans Island, hosted by Canterbury Golf.⛳️

The team started the final round in 5th place and 10 shots off the lead, but produced a strong final-day performance to close the gap to just three shots.

Captain Kevin Bang led the way with a 2 under 70, including several crucial par putts in a gutsy performance.

Rangimarie Manahi followed with a solid 2-over 74, highlighted by some excellent driving and approach play.

Tawa Thomas, after a difficult start, settled into his round and fought back to card an 8-over 80.

The result adds a 2026 National runner-up finish to the team’s National title in 2024, with the school having 6 National championship wins. 👏🏻

We know it’s disappointing to miss another Friday, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for some sunshine next week! ☀️

Our next session is planned for Friday 21 August, from 3:30pm–5:00pm.
