2025. I had big goals. 😅😅😅
After 3 years away from the stage, mediocre training, inconsistent nutrition, and zero accountability, I decided it was time.

19 weeks. 75kg ➡️ 59kg.

I stepped on stage at ICN New Zealand Taupō Great Lakes Regional 2025 in the leanest condition I'd ever achieved at that point. Proof 💪that it's never about where you start. It's about the decision to start. 🤍

One year ago, I was dreaming about the life I wanted. Today, I'm living proof of what consistency can do.

Back on stage in May. Now embracing a proper off-season.
Different seasons. Same commitment to my hauora. ❤️

I'm just a māmā with big goals.

💪 Bodybuilding.⚖️ Career. 👷‍♀️Hauora.

Most mornings you'll find me in activewear from kmart (nothing flash over here) 🤣 chasing progress, not perfection.
My goal for this platform is to build a collective of wāhine who inspire one another, celebrate every win, and prove that it's never too late to choose yourself.

Welcome to the collective. 🤍✨

The medals, degrees and titles can stay in the box. 🤣 the last fourteen years of sport. Fourteen years of study. A lifetime of chasing goals. Yet this old newspaper clipping is still the one thing I'll always treasure most. It reminds me that the greatest legacy isn't what I've achieved it's what my daughters have seen me overcome. I hope they never remember me for the medals or the letters after my name. I hope they remember that Mum kept getting back up, kept believing, and kept showing them that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things. Everything I've ever done has been to show my girls that their dreams are possible. That's the title I'm most proud of, the gangsterest Māmā ❤️ Mariana Morrison

Re-introducing myself... 🤍

This page has been pretty quiet over the past couple of years, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself.

If you follow Morrison for Rotorua, you'll know that's where I share my journey through leadership, governance, research, law, and community. This page is different. This space is dedicated to my hauora haerenga.

This photo was taken in May 2025, my first bodybuilding competition after three years away from the stage.

Over 19 weeks, I lost 16 kg while juggling motherhood, a major restructure at Te Whatu Ora, and leading commissioned research for Ngāti Whakaue focused on improving outcomes for our kaumātua.

It wasn't the perfect prep, but it reminded me that progress doesn't require perfect circumstances—just a willingness to keep showing up.

Over the coming months, I'll be sharing the real side of my hauora journey. The wins, the setbacks, training, practical nutrition, affordable family meals, perimenopause, and what it looks like to prioritise yourself while balancing career, whānau, and life's many seasons.

If you're a busy wāhine trying to juggle it all while still making time for yourself, I'd love to have you along for the journey. Welcome to this next chapter. 🤍

This page has been part of my journey since 2018, and if there's one thing it's taught me, it's resilience.

Over the years, I've lost two going concern businesses, slept on a gym floor to keep a dream alive, lost a mortgage-free home, completed my PhD and law degree, raised my girls, built my career, and found my way back to the bodybuilding stage.

Through every season, one thing has remained the same, I never stopped believing in the power of choosing my own hauora. If that resonates with you, nau mai. 🤍

🔥🔥🔥Like for your support for breastfeeding in public🔥🔥🔥

So I was @ my Cousin's tangi yesterday & I heard someone make a comment about a Māmā breast feeding. I didn't say anything & in my defence was too tired. This sums up my thoughts surrounding in public.

"When you judge my Māmā for nursing me you're actually judging me, a baby. My Māmā doesn't nurse me to nourish herself, she is nourishing me. Are you saying I don't have the right to eat in public like you"? 👌

Well... after a couple of years, I think it's time to bring this page back. 🤍

This journey started back in 2018 when I took over the Forme Fitness & Body Therapy..Since then, I've tried to reset this page more than once, even planning to open another gym in 2022. But life had different plans.

Instead, I finished my PhD and law degree, continued building my career, raised my girls, and stepped back onto the bodybuilding stage in 2025 and 2026. Looking back, I realise I wasn't starting over, I was growing.

So, here's another reset.

I'll be sharing my journey as I continue balancing career goals, māmāhood, bodybuilding, and prioritising my own hauora. If you're a busy wāhine trying to do the same, I'd love to have you along for the journey. 🤍

Kia ora Facebook!!! 👋👋👋

It's been a hot 🔥 minute since I last posted on this page, I have completed my PhD concurrently with a law degree and successfully focused on my babies and my career. However...I'm back to 🌱 start over, stronger and more focused than ever🌱

After the challenge of closing my gym in 2018 and deciding to start again from scratch 3 years ago, including renovating a new space with my own hands (as seen in pics), I learned some tough but invaluable lessons. The decision to relinquish the lease was disheartening, but I knew it was the right choice at the time. Starting over after failure can feel overwhelming, but each setback has helped me refine my vision and get clearer on what truly matters.

I’m excited to announce that I’m back, and this time, I’m focusing on what I’m most passionate about helping wāhine grow stronger, both mentally and physically. I’m offering specialized nutrition for Rotorua-based clients only, designed to be both effective and sustainable. I want to create a supportive environment where you can achieve your goals without the complexity of full PT services.

Building something meaningful is never a straight line, but I’m determined to make it work. This new chapter is a little scary, but I believe in the power of resilience and the strength of the wāhine community. 💪

Thank you for your support as I bring this vision to life! Let’s rise together. ✨
