Functional Fitness Barn

Last Saturday we had 6 athletes stepping out onto the floor at the Butterfly Effect competition in Palmerston North. Both teams did an amazing job and proved to be very competitive against strong opposition over four different workouts.
It is always great to see the fruits of all the hard work and training paying off and put into practice. Very proud of their efforts!!!

Great to have Olympic/Commonwealth Games athlete CamTaggart at the Barn last weekend running Olympic lifting workshops for our members! Was really enjoyable for those who attended and Cam is a great coach who helped everyone refine their technique.

Quinn, Mabel, Nicole, Rebecca and Jess were all winners in their division. With Jess taking out the ultimate winner for the year.

Last Saturday we had athletes competing at the Beauty Beyond Strength competition in Palmerston North. Both pairs did exceptionally well!
After 6 challenging wods Leah and Ash ended up taking out the schedule pairs section. This was an outstanding effort considering both were competing for the first time!
Heather and Loran finished 6th overall after consistent placings over all of the workouts (5 top 7 finishes).
It was awesome to see athletes from our humble little gym mixing it with athletes from much bigger facilities from all around New Zealand.
The great results were much deserved and reward for hard work and being consistent with their training.
