20 weeks out from HYROX Auckland? Here’s what I’d be doing.
1. BUY THE TICKET
Purchase your ticket. Lock in the date.
Having that goal sitting in the calendar makes everything feel a little more real — and you don’t want to leave it too late and miss out.
2. GET RUNNING
Spend the next month building your running base.
Don’t worry about smashing out HYROX sessions yet. Get comfortable running consistently and build your engine.
Need a running programme? DM us — we have options from beginner through to advanced.
3. BUILD YOUR ENGINE
Over the next 4–6 weeks, focus on getting fitter, stronger and more comfortable with the basics.
Think running, strength, aerobic work and consistency.
4. THEN START GETTING HYROX-SPECIFIC
Once your base is there, start bringing the stations into your training.
Sleds. Carries. Wall balls. Lunges. Burpees.
And most importantly — learning how to run well when your legs are cooked.
5. DON’T WAIT UNTIL RACE PREP TO START
20 weeks is plenty of time to make a huge difference.
You just need to start
20 weeks. One goal. Start today.
