Cycling radar units.
One of the best innovations in cycling is the development of rear radar units. When I first heard of them I thought they were a solution looking for a problem, but after several years of riding with them I feel 'naked' without. These show visually with an audio alert how close the vehicles are approaching (within 150m).
There are MANY units on the market now, but Shane Miller (GP Lama) has done many tests and found that only a few are reliable: the Gamin Varia, Magene L508 and Lezyne radars being the ones we carry.
An impediment until now has been that you needed a compatible headset like a Garmin computer. However, Lezyne has broken this mold with their 'React Drive System'. The React Drive front provides basic visual and audio cues to alert users when a vehicle is detected. Meaning, if you ride without a computer or phone on your bike, you can still receive radar alerts. It’s also great for riders of e-bikes with proprietary displays, or none at all.
If you want to try riding with these, give us a call and we'll book you a demo ride. Warning: you will be hooked. An incredible safety solution.
