The Central Blast RX3 has been out of action for a while. Some fab work was/is to take place after an engine failure...
So in the meantime I picked up an historic (ex-Pro7) Mazda Series 1 RX7 Group C off a buddy to go racing in. That kinda changed into transferring my entire drive-line along with many other things into the new car. So old RX3+4 = new RX7...
First day out on the track today with Taupo Car Club Inc.'s Winter Series at Taupo International Motorsport Park. Bit of a shakedown and get some seat time to test it out... Couple of small issues which we got around and I was able to get in a couple of full races. Few tweaks to come with setup and more seat time. Was heaps of fun, awesome little car... Overall a success.
Massive thanks to Shane (and Nikki for all the late nights) at Full Send Fabrication Taupo for getting me and the RX7 to this point, couldn't have done it without you mate.
Mr Brent Curran at Curran Brothers Racing for introducing myself & the RX7 to the new FuelTech ECU system and getting it singing along with some added horsepower.
Matt at Prime Speed Sport Taupo did an immaculate job on the new wiring harness and initial setup. Few test days to come.
