What an awesome night for our ROC whānau!

Both Roman and Paris coming away with great wins, and both putting on performances we can be bloody proud of. They represented themselves, their teammates and ROC with mana, and it was awesome seeing all the work they’ve put in come together on the night.

As always, a massive mihi to our ROC whānau who made the trip, got behind the boys and brought the noise. Our supporters and teammates are a huge part of what we do, whether you’re in the ring, helping in the corner, warming the boys up or yelling from the crowd, it all matters. We appreciate every one of you.

A huge thank you to James, Renee and the whole Ōtākiri Fight Dept whānau for putting together such an epic night in honour of Pa. You guys did him proud. He would have absolutely loved seeing everyone together, the gyms he helped connect supporting one another, and the next generation getting in there and doing their thing. ❤️

Also a big mihi to all the officials, sanctioning team, referees, judges, medics, coaches, fighters and everyone working behind the scenes. These shows don’t happen without people giving their time and making sure our fighters have a safe and professional platform to compete on.

Pa brought a lot of us together through this sport, and nights like this remind us that what he helped build is still going strong.

Proud of our boys. Proud of our team. And proud to have been part of such a special night.

Ngā mihi nui whānau, Pa would’ve been proud

Happy fight day to our fight whānau!

Pretty special one today.

Last Stance Ōtara, Otakiri Fight Dept and ROC all come together today, gyms that were brought together through our mentor and friend Tojo.

One of the best things Tojo gave us was each other. Different gyms, different towns, but always there to help each other out, share knowledge, learn, grow and back each other.

Today we get to stand alongside each other again and watch our fighters do their thing.

We're even standing across from each other in a couple of bouts, I can just hear it now "ahhhh Teezal and Hone...." pat pat pat on the seat next to him 🤣 LETS GO WHĀNAU!!!!

Much love to all our brothers, sisters and fighters stepping up today. Go well, look after each other and enjoy it.

This one’s for you Pa

What a night for the ROC fight team.

3 fighters. 3 fights. 3 wins. 🥊

A massive congratulations to Culann, Kelly and Shannon for the way you represented ROC at Karapiro Cage Fights last night.

All three came away with the win, with Shannon closing out the night in the main event and bringing home a shiny new belt for the gym. 🏆

Results are always great, but as coaches we’re just as proud of the work that happens long before anyone steps through those ropes. The training, the hard rounds, the sacrifices, the nerves, the discipline and the willingness to keep learning. Last night was the reward for a lot of work behind the scenes.

A huge thank you and respect to our opponents and their gyms. It takes two fighters to make a fight, and we genuinely appreciate everyone who steps up and gives our guys the opportunity to test themselves and grow. Nothing but respect.

Thank you also to Nigel and NJE Promotions for having us and putting together another great night at Karapiro Cage Fights. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of it.

And to our ROC whānau, supporters and teammates, thank you. Whether you’re fighting, sparring, holding pads, helping someone through a hard round, travelling to the shows or standing ringside making plenty of noise, you’re part of this. We simply can’t grow without the people around us. Special mention to Ray Ray for his mahi out back and in the corner, padding the boys and locking in that flow before the fights, you’re the man Ray Ray! Thank you bro.

We’ll enjoy this one, then it’s back to work.

There are plenty of challenges waiting for us over the weeks and months ahead, new goals to chase and another level for all of us to reach.

Proud of this team. Proud of these three.

Onwards and Upwards 🥊
