McCartney Invitational Tournament - Taupo AFC

Thank you all for your interest you've shown in registering your teams. We've now completed the initial line up and sent confirmation emails to all who expressed interest in taking part.

We received 310 entries for the 128 places available. All 10 grades are heavily oversubscribed and with the best will in the world we are simply unable to accommodate everyone who applies.

Spaces are limited and we now have 182 teams on the wait list. If spaces do become available we'll be in touch.

We are currently reviewing additional team placements to maximise the tournament's competitive structure before locking in the final schedule. We have received an overwhelming response this year, and all 10 grades are heavily oversubscribed. Because spaces are strictly limited, we unfortunately cannot accommodate every team that applied.

The expression of Interest emails were sent out to all Club Contacts and Team Managers from the 5th April. We did have feedback that some recent enquiries did not receive their emails. We've now caught up with all those that enquired with one last mail out just now - apologies if you get a duplicate.

One last time - if you were expecting to be contacted and nothing has arrived then please email [email protected] with your details. We have extyended the deadline to register interest to Tuesday the 28th April 2026.

We have asked that all interest is registered no later than Friday the 24th April 2026. This allows us to get organised for the tournament in good time and also allows participants to get organised too.

Thanks ever so much for your patience. Just a quick heads up that we were a touch ambitious with our aim to get our initial mail out ready by the 27th March. We're running a few days behind and have revised that date to the 3rd April.

The dates for this year’s McCartney Invitational Tournament are 9-10-11 October, 2026.
