Our Annual Apparatus Finals Competition is taking place next weekend - 27th/28th of June and we are looking for local businesses to sponsor this fantastic event which will bring hundreds of gymnasts from all over the North Island to our town.
Please share or get in touch if you are interested. All sponsorship money will go directly towards the expenses required to host this large competition. Expenses such as medals, paying judges, food/canteen, certificates and more.
The less we have to spend on hosting this competition, the more profit we can make towards our end goal to efficently heat and cool our building for our community.
Thanks in advance for your continued support 💫

Argos Elementary Competition
Well done to all of our Step 1–4 gymnasts who competed at the Argos Elementary Competition in Tauranga this weekend.
We are incredibly proud of the effort, growth, and determination shown by every gymnast. While results are always exciting, it's the progress, resilience, and hard work behind the scenes that we're most proud of. Every competition is another step forward, and the improvements being made each week are fantastic to see.
A big thank you to Argos Gymnastics for hosting a great event, and to our WAG coach Kirsty Smits for her dedication, encouragement, and the many hours she puts into helping our gymnasts achieve their goals.
Well done, Team Mt Tauhara! ❤️🖤🤍

It's National Volunteer Week!
Here's a fun fact about Mount Tauhara Gymnastics Club you may not know, we are governed by a group of people called a committee who are all volunteers! The club wouldn't be able to run without them, and we appreciate all of the hours they put into our club.
Shout out to all of our other awesome volunteers too who support our club at fundraising events, host competitions and much more. These are all dedicated parents who give their time to help us. It is appreciated more than they know.
Thank you ❤️

From the outside, it might just look like a gymnast sitting on a mat… waiting for her turn to compete.
But when you’re her parent, you see so much more.
You see countless hours of training…
all for a routine that lasts about a minute.
You see the days she didn’t trust herself yet…
and the ones when she attacked a new skill like it was hers all along.
You see the practice pick-ups where she climbs into the car in tears over a skill she just couldn’t nail…
and the days she can’t wait to tell you she finally did.
You see the moments she wanted to quit…
and the ones when she chose to get back up and try again.
You see the moments when her nerves overwhelmed her…
and the ones when she learned she could feel them and still push through them.
The scores, passes and medals are part of it.
But we know they’re not the point.
It’s showing up when it’s hard.
It’s getting back up after a tough fall.
It’s challenging her body and defying fear.
And long after the competition ends, those lessons are what stay.
That’s what we see as parents every time she's out there.
That no matter the score...
We hope she sees just how amazing she is. And we hope one day, that's what she also sees in herself.
The best gymnastics moms aren’t the loudest.
They’re the steady ones.
The ones who:
Encourage without pressuring
Support without comparing
Trust the process
Love their athlete no matter the score
That kind of support matters more than any medal ever will.
