Tread Routes provides guided and self-guided mountain bike tours. We have our own custom shuttle service for 20+ tracks across the North Island. Partnering with the NZ Cycle Trail we provide fully supported all-inclusive package tours that encourage an 'at your own pace' riding style along with accommodation in lodges along the trail.

The digger has arrived at the western end of the new Otaketake extension. The crew will build the trail to join the completed section on the Kinloch end. Rock on lads!

The Otaketake Extension has reached around halfway from the Kinloch end, so it is time to move the construction team to the Kawakawa Rd end. There are a few inconvenient rocks to be removed first so expect some action on the western end in a week or so. The picture will answer your technical questions.

Interp signage on the Great Lake Trail. We like the scientific process to trail design and user satisfaction. The feasibility study was clearly highly technical in its approach... or perhaps simply exercised a good amount of wisdom...
