Bathurst weekend continues, so let's take a look at just some of the v8s Gilligans Tours Heritage Saloon Cars NZ members have already entered for MG Classic Racing at Manfeild in November.

With Bathurst race weekend starting tomorrow we wish Touring Car Masters NZ competitors good luck over the weekend as they compete against to Aussies. TCM first session starts at 9.25am NZ time tomorrow live on sky TV.

While Gilligans Tours Heritage Saloon Cars NZ combine with TCM grids over summer they aren't the only v8s, we too have a great selection of v8s racing with us at MG Classic Racing in November at Manfeild.

How cool do these two classics Saloon cars look as part of HSCNZ group.

Tony Barr is his beautiful 1970 Mustang which he his family have built over many years.

Bruce Deihl has also entered his amazing Holden Torana hatch. Bruce is very well known around the circuits and is an ex CMC & TCM competitor.

As we build up to Bathurst next weekend we take a look at a couple of Japanese machines entered with Gilligans Tours Heritage Saloon Cars NZ for MG Classic Racing at Manfeild in November.

Clive Matthews has decided to bring his beautifully presented Datsun 240z rather than his gpc rx7 this round and how prestine does this car look 🤩.

Mike de will also be bringing out his amazingly quick little nissan primera which mike depals to inch of its life.

The third of our machines tonight is Peter Beauchamps Toyota Corolla. With a nice little retro scheme and a small turbo fitted under the hood this car is a little giant killer to be watched.

With the build up to Bathurst who would like to see some v8 muscle next which is entered for MG???

Jarod most weekends is trackside at Manfeild taking photos in all weather.

He'll be trackside again at the MG Classic Racing meeting November 13-15 capturing all the on track and off track activities.

What's better than one Ford Mustang GT but three.

That's right 3!!!

And not just 3 ordinary Mustangs. All 3 are Targa cars.

Hayden Rau & Nick Kacouris cars are both ex 0 & 00 Targa cars originally owned by Mike John's where Richard Ramson car is a class 7, 2wd open car competing in multiple Targa events.

Originally running a smaller 4.6lt quadcam v8 as per in Hayden & Nick's car, Richard now runs a 5.4lt supercharged 600+hp monster from a later model Shelby Cobra Mustang.

Richard is a regular who competed the entire 1st season of Gilligans Tours Heritage Saloon Cars NZ.

Hayden splits his time between the mustang and running in nzsix.

Nick (Tricky) has only recently purchased the mustang after stepping out of DJR Laser from last season.

But who's is the quickest?

Rumor has it that one of the cars may get a new look before MG?

If you want to see what these cars and the rest of the grid looks like make sure you make it to Manfeild 13-15th November for the MG Classic.

Although Gilligans Tours Heritage Saloon Cars NZ is a non points series the 1st 4 rounds of our series we combine with the Manawatu Car Club classics at Manfeild and those cars compatible are eligible for MCC points as well.

At last nights prize giving members took 5 of the 6 spots on the podium in the classic classes.

1st & 3rd in classics as well as 1st, 2nd & 3rd in Saloon Trophy class as well as 2nd in SF Cup.

We're still just under 2 months away from the MG Classic at Manfeild but a stacked feild is forming already for Gilligans Tours Heritage Saloon Cars NZ.

As we track closer to the event we'll introduce you to some of the cars and have a few competitions along the way as well every few days.

Two of the first cars entered are our Italian racers, Eddieb Racer & Ron in there two immaculate and surprisingly quick Alfa Suds.

Both these competitors joined us for the 1st time at MG last year and fitted in perfectly and raced with us all summer season long.

So again this November the two of them are coming down from up north to terarise anyone and everyone from turn 1 to turn 5 at Manfeild and fill the mirrors of Alfa beauty.

Who doesn't like a good Castrol livery on a race car. The car is in its final build stages with MG still the target for its first event in November.

Was great to see some Gilligans Tours Heritage Saloon Cars NZ members out testing different cars at Saturday's playday on track at Manfeild.

While we have a short break between meetings before we go racing at mg classic in November it's a great time to do some servicing, repairs and testing.
