Hawker Fishing

Trout fishing on Lake Taupo. We caught all our fish on Tassie Devils on downriggers at a depth of 35m. A little different to the trout fishing we are used to!

The first chance for some serious fishing on our NZ trip. We stayed at a beautiful free camp at Tairua last night . The boys wasted no time, dropping in some bent minnows and soft plastics to get amongst some kahawai (Australian Salmon) that were schooling around the jetty. Great fun!

On holidays and still getting hit by the taxman!

Had a family trip to the Mid-North Coast last week, was great to land a few saltwater species. Heading to the Fraser Coast for the next two weeks and hope to get amongst some Barra!

Not much action on our page recently, everyone has been super busy and too much work means not enough time to fish. Logan has been doing the most fishing, having some successful freshwater trips.

When Logan isn’t fishing, he can been found honing his hunting skills. His hard work paid off yesterday when he shot his first goat. This was followed up by a second one this morning. Needless to say he was stoked!
