Club Hunt For Sika Deer

Dates - 20th Nov - 22nd Nov

Hunting around Clements Mill Road area in the Kaimanawa Forest Park. Staying at Sika Lodge.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other club members. NZDA BOP members can bring a friend who isn't a member.
Hunters must have a fi****ms licence or be under supervision of a licence holder. Participants are responsible to provide all their own sleeping and hunting gear.
A shared potluck dinner will be held on Friday night from 6pm. After that, everyone is responsible for their own catering needs for the rest of the weekend

KIWI AVOIDANCE TRAINING 🐕‍🦺

We’re privileged to have an exclusive booking with Brendan Curracan — Kiwi Avoidance Trainer #63 for a kiwi avoidance training course at TECT Park.

If you have a dog that spends time in the bush, hunting areas or other places where kiwi may be present, this is a great opportunity to get them trained and help protect our native taonga.

Let’s do our part to help protect kiwi and keep them safe in their own backyard.

⏰ TIME: 8:00am – 12:00 noon

PUREORA HUNT — PIROPIRO FLATS

📆 Fri 25th Sep – Sun 27th Sep

Looking for an easily accessible hunting area with plenty of opportunities to get out into the bush? Piropiro Flats in the Pureora Forest is a great option for a hunting weekend!

🏕️ Easy access – Drive right into a large campsite, making it easy to camp or sleep in your vehicle.

🌿 Great terrain – A mix of mature podocarp forest and regenerating bush, offering plenty of different hunting environments.

Game in the area – Good numbers of deer, pigs and goats.

Accommodation – Sleep in your vehicle or bring a tent and make the campsite your base.

Be prepared! – It’ll still be cold, so bring plenty of warm clothing, bedding and firewood. Nothing better than a good fire back at camp after a day in the bush!

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE:
This is a busy forest area shared with other hunters, campers and Timber Trail bike riders. Take care around the campsite, roads and tracks, and be respectful of other forest users.
