And that’s a wrap of the Barfoot & Thompson Cherrywood 1 Day tournament series for the year!

What an incredible five rounds it has been!

A huge congratulations to all of today’s winners and finalists.

Ten players each took home $250 for accumulating the highest points across the series through participation, match wins, and bonus points for entering all five rounds.

We also had a tie for 10th place, with the prize being shared between two deserving players.

In a truly touching gesture, all of the finalists chose to contribute $50 from their prize money to support Abby Devoy, who tragically and unexpectedly lost her mum, Anna Devoy, this week.

Thanks to their generosity, a total of $500 will be donated to Abby. ❤️

What a fantastic way to finish the series—great squash, great people, and an amazing show of support from our squash community.

We are incredibly sad to share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of our dear club member, Anna Devoy. 🕊️

Anna was Abby’s biggest supporter and a well-known squash mum at Devoy. She was a familiar face at so many of our club events, always willing to lend a hand and offering a smile and kindness that will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Abby and Anna’s whānau during this incredibly difficult time.
