FC Tauranga Moana is operated by the most qualified coaches in the region and is the only club in the Bay of Plenty providing full NZ Football accredited player pathways. Our football programmes, focused on skill acquisition, are available for players 9 -12 years. Our Academy is for players aged 12 - 17, with teams entered into the WaiBOP Regional, Y-League and NRFL Youth competitions.

⚡️Weekend Results
It was a massive weekend of football for FC Tauranga Moana, filled with plenty of heart and hard work across the board! Te Ara Wahine faced a tough battle at home at Fergusson Park, putting up a brave fight against a clinical West Coast Rangers side. Meanwhile, the academy teams showed incredible grit on the road; the youth girls dug deep on Saturday to lock in two hard-fought 1–1 draws against Birkenhead United and Western Springs, while the mixed TDP academy squads packed up and headed north on Sunday for a thrilling set of away fixtures against East Coast Bays.,

On the eve of another weekend of football across our region, let's remember to say thank you.

When you get to football this weekend, have a look around. The lines are marked. The goals are up. Your team has a coach, and everyone knows where to be and when. The corner flags are out. The clubrooms are open, someone's behind the bar, and the sausage sizzle is going.

Most of this happens because volunteers are giving up their time to make it happen.

When parents sit in the car on a cold, drizzly night, it's mostly volunteers out coaching our kids. Thanks, coaches.

When you turn up half an hour before kickoff, remember the club volunteers who have turned upon hour before you to unlock the sheds and put up nets, and get everything ready so you or your child can play.

Thank you to the admin staff who open their laptop after the kids are in bed, after a full day's work, to answer twenty emails from parents. Who organise registrations. Who put kids into teams. Who update the website. Who create and post social media.

Thanks to team managers, who keep the kit sorted, fill in team sheets, and handle the team admin (and there can be a lot).

This week is National Volunteer Week.

From everyone at WaiBOP Football, a massive thank you to all the volunteers who work so hard to make football happen. We appreciate you. We know it can be long hours, hard work, and sometimes hidden.

Thank you.

The weekend is here, and across the region, the general game plan for FCTM families looks exactly the same. We’re talking full-field pressure to get out the door on time, intense midfield scrambles for the last good parking spot, and tactical parent huddles centered entirely around the coffee van. Out on the pitch, the kids will be playing with pure heart, while on the sidelines, the rest of us play a game of survival against the morning chill. No matter the division, the venue, or the scoreline, it’s bound to be 48 hours of brilliant, muddy, unpredictable football family glory. 👊
