This decision, reached through extensive discussions within the Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club (TYPBC), is the result of various critical factors that have influenced our assessment of the 2023 event and its future viability. Congratulations Caleb! 🥳 It was fantastic to have you in the race!

Congratulations goes to Caleb Evans for winning the cup for the 'youngest competitor' in last weekend's Auckland 2 Tauranga Regatta run by the Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club. Many thanks to Peter Decke for training up 17-year-old Caleb over the last few years aboard his keeler 'Whistler'. Caleb often sails with Peter on the Wednesday night racing series, and jumped at the chance to do the big coastal race which included a full night sailing at sea. What a great experience! Well done Team Whistler!
