Hey team, I’m proud to announce that Tuesday the New Zealand Wrestling team fly out to Pago Pago, American Samoa, to compete in the 2025 Oceania Champs, Rico Rawlinson and Konrad Wisnewski from our club will be competing in the U17 division. Also traveling from our club will be Merinda and Alan Latham, Merinda will be training to become a Level 2 UWW ref after being a Level 3 ref for over twelve months now. Alan will be training to become a Level 3 ref. They will both referee the tournament as part of their training. Congrats to all 4 of them.
Also traveling with the team is Ben Tanner from Katikati Wrestling, Ben trains at our club as much as he can to get more competition, he will compete in the U20 division.
All our wrestlers should be aspiring to make a NZ wrestling team and wrestle overseas. Also if anyone wants to start their refs training please let me know, any level, any age welcome. Cheers

And the big one -Overall Champion Club, (for the fourth year in a row).

Some of the team today at the BOP Wrestling Champs in Katikati.
We won 10 Golds, 13 Silvers, 6 Bronze and 2 fourths. Our coaches and refs were also awesome. Great results team.

A great day at the Auckland Champs today, some of our team in the photo.
We won 10 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze.
Konrad won Best U15 Wrestler and Blair won Best senior Wrestler.
Alan and Merinda reffed well all day, while Chris ran a great tournament.
Good luck to Blair and Isaac, leaving Thursday for the Australian National Champs.
