Got the day off work today to get the race car out to Manfield for their test day but after a run on the local backroads discovered the brake caliper is sticking on again. Lot of heat generated just on road driving so not keen on losing brakes on the long straight at the circuit. Instead today will be a working on the car day 😀

June Update:
After a thunk from the rear of the blue one when pulling away in the morning and then squeaking brakes, the rear wheels had to come off. Upon further inspection the brake pads were worn unevenly and one was missing entirely. Some scoring on the disc itself. A set of spare pads were put in the rear till a new set of race pads to go on all four corners.
The blue car has also been for inspection and is getting its pre-season checks out of the way with. Passed its WoF next up scrutineering, but first. new belts. Moving to fit new belts will give me a chance to clean up the seats too.

Tayler Racing page was created nearly 3 years ago to track the racing exploits of father and son team Paul Tayler and Stefan Tayler. Back then a car for 2KCup was the focus. That never eventuated, but as with lot's of great ideas the seed was planted and has been growing stronger ever since.
March 2015 saw the MR2 becoming the favoured car of the Tayler Racing stable as one sweet blue Supercharged example graced the Tauranga garage of Stefan. A number of motorkhana events and a track day followed, along with another MR2 added to the growing list of Toyotas belonging to the team.
Fast forward to early 2017 and that original seed of circuit racing has flourished into a full on plan. The team are taking on the challenge of the All Classic Japanese Series run by Auckland Car Club. The plan is to run at 2 events in the 2017/2018 season, learn from there for a full season the following year.
