Looking for a fun and active way to help your little one build confidence and develop new skills?

Mini Club is perfect for children aged 3–6 years (born 2020–2023)!

Our Athletics New Zealand Get Set Go programme uses games and fun activities to develop the fundamental movement skills every child needs - running, jumping, throwing, balancing, and coordination.

Parents and caregivers join in too, making Mini Club a great way to be active together while your child learns in a safe, supportive environment.

Every third week is a competition week, giving our young athletes the chance to race on the track, jump into the long jump pit, and have a go at throwing.

We're excited to launch a brand-new Athlete Development Programme for athletes aged 11–19 years.

During the final rotation of club night, athletes can choose to take part in a session focused on building the foundations for success in athletics and every other sport.

These sessions are designed to help athletes become stronger, faster, more confident movers while reducing injury risk and improving overall athletic performance.

This is an opt-in programme, so athletes who prefer not to participate can simply complete the standard club night rotation as usual.

Whether your goal is to sprint faster, jump higher, throw further, or simply become a better all-round athlete, this programme is for you. We can't wait to see our athletes grow!

Most Improved Athletes – 2025/2026 Season

This season we placed a huge focus on personal achievement, effort, and striving for personal bests and these athletes truly embraced that challenge!

Congratulations to our athletes who achieved the most personal bests or showed the greatest improvement in times, distances, and heights across the season. Your hard work, consistency, and determination have been awesome to watch.

Improvement looks different for every athlete, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone who challenged themselves, stepped outside their comfort zone, and celebrated their own progress this season.
