As most of the members are aware this year we have been very fortunate in securing Chakreet Liamsuksri for Thursday morning sessions as a coach for both those new to the sport and more experienced players wanting to up their game. So if you're a club member and want to up your game let Pam know and we can add you to the coaching sessions. Fantastic value at only $20 for an hour.
"Hi my name is Chakrit Liamsuksri
A quick bit of information about myself, most of my life I have been dedicated with Badminton. I’ve been playing badminton for roughly over 10 years, and have been coaching for the last 7 years. I’ve competed in tournaments all around New Zealand and overseas. I’ve coached for different teams/organizations such as Bay of Plenty Badminton and John Paul College. My recent accomplishment in coaching would be taking a couple of teams from John Paul College to the New Zealand Secondary School championships and managing to take a gold medal. Badminton has taught me so much, it has taught me to be respectful towards not just the sport but towards the other players and spectators. It has taught me humility in both victory and defeats. Badminton has shaped me in a positive way, because of that I want to share it back to the community that has helped me."

Tauranga Morning Badminton Club is very grateful to New Zealand Community Trust for the grant to run this year's tournament. With costs increasing each year the grant from NZCT covers the purchase of shuttlecocks and venue hire so that we can offer the tournament to the wider badminton community.
Please support Mt Maunganui's Cheers Tavern and Rustys Bar and Restaurant whose gaming machines made this possible.
