Help needed!

Hello everyone, my son Mitchell is in a sweepstakes to win a free trip to the KENTUCKY DERBY and he is down to the last 3!

Mitchell works for Arrowfield Stud in Scone, Australia. He is as passionate about horses as we all are! He is now an Australian resident but we won't hold that against him!

‘Takeachance’ with Thunder Down Under is exactly what Tracy Lomas did and it has paid off!

A massive congrats to Tracy for a win with her mare, at just her second start after a gutsy third at her first start.

Thunder Down Under has only had six runners to the races, this is his first win but he has had three others place in the top three.

Talented 2yr old Montana Bay has had three 2nds this season and his just as talented full sister Monique Tonnerre has three 3rds to her name. We are excited about their chances this spring/summer.

(But we all know how quick it can it go from this ☹ to this 😊 and then back to this ☹ in this game 😊 😊 ?)

A massive congrats to Mi Amigo (Pablo), his owners and to Gareth Lahoud – first win for both horse and jockey and we thank you all. A special thanks to Robby for entrusting us with Pablo and so glad you still have your balls 😊.

A special thanks to Stuart and Cherie Hope for entrusting us with all of Monarch’s progeny! All have been winners at either races or trials including Santa Monica, Monaco, Montana Mist and now Montana Bay.

By Thunder Down Under, Montana Bay, while still very green showed great speed and tenacity to win his first trial over 600m today at Waipa in Heat 5.

We do not get the bluebloods like the top stables do, but we still treat and train every horse like they are the best.

Tahuroa Height 🥈 in the Great Northern Hurdle with Kylan Wiles (A) aboard.

Woweee! We are so so proud of our boy “Rastus”. Can’t say enough good things about Kylan. Absolutely summed up the pace of the race. Had Tahuroa Height asleep going pass the winning post both times and got him into the race at the right time.

Also wanted to give a special mention to Des & Bernice Appleton who bred and raced Tahuroa Height early on in his career. Sadly Des passed away and isn’t here today to enjoy this top run from his boy.

WIN WIN - Congrats Tahuroa Height and Kylan Wiles

Tahuroa Height won his first hurdle race today piloted by a positive front running ride from Kylan Wiles who picks up his first winning ride as a jumps jockey.

It was a brilliant ride by Kylan and as Steve’s son Mitchell commented “what a beautiful race to watch, he was floating in front. He looked like he was feeling great today just left in front”.

We watched Kylan on his jumps debut and were impressed with how relaxed and balanced he was on the horse and knew we would like to put him on when we had the chance. A big thanks to his dad Dean for giving us that chance! Kylan is definitely a great addition to our jumps riders and will ride a lot more winners.

Tahuroa Height was bred by Bernice and the late Des Appleton and it was fantastic to have their son Kevin at the races today.
