WEBC members who will be entering Centre & National events will have to do so via Bowls Hub on line in due course...so you might want to go along to one of these two sessions & learn how to do.

Bowls Hub – Live Demonstration / Q and A

We’re pleased to announce that Bowls New Zealand will be coming to Timaru (Kia Toa BC) on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 to give us a live demonstration of Bowls Hub and show us how the system works.

There will be two sessions available:
🕑 2:00pm – 3:30pm
🕕 6:00pm – 7:30pm

All club members are welcome to attend either session, and a big thanks to Kia Toa for accommodating us.

This is a great opportunity to see Bowls Hub in action, learn more about how it works, and ask any questions you may have. There will be plenty of opportunity to get a better understanding of the system and what it means for our clubs and members as we head into a new season on the greens.

We strongly encourage everyone to come along to either session and find out more, firsthand.

Very sad news for Club Redcliffs as Life Member Peter Hyland passed away last night. Our deepest condolences to his wife Mary and all of his friends and family. An absolute gentleman, Peter was the driving force behind many club initiatives and his presence will be greatly missed by everyone at Club Redcliffs and throughout the bowls community. For those who wish to pay their respects, the service will be held at John Rhind, 12-19 London Street, Richmond, Tuesday 1st September at 1pm, followed by an afternoon tea and refreshments at Club Redcliffs from 3pm.

We were saddened to hear the news of the passing of our West End Bowling Club member & friend to many, Peter Hyland. Peter has been a long time member of the Club & even when moving away, remained so and regularly returned to play in tournaments including the West End Classic. Our thoughts are with his family & friends at this sad time.

Please share - time for Social Bowls again and for non-bowlers to get a team of mates, family or workmates together & commit to coming along for Friday nights in Oct. See poster below for details. Entries close 25th Sept, so drop us an email.

This Sat (22 Aug) is our last Saturday Arvo Winter Bowls gathering so all welcome to come along for a roll. See you there.

REMINDER: Full playing members are required to wear WEBC club uniform (shirt & bowls shorts or trackpants) when playing interclub & tournaments (where uniform is requirement). See below for relevant prices for these items.

Additional (but not a requirement) WEBC accessories are also available - jackets, vests, sweats, hats.
Secretary will be sending in an order at end of August so email your requirements to Clare along with size (NB: maybe check with other members who already have uniform items to see if clothing items are true to size, as no refund once ordered).
