It is with sadness that we announce the passing of one of our Lifetime Members Nelson Truman in Auckland this morning.

Nelson did some pretty amazing things within our community, some of those include:
Leader of the Tokomaru Bay Scout Club (back in the day – IYKYK)

Chief of Tokomaru Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade for decades.

He was a painter who painted buildings throughout our Akau inclusive of the Sports Club.

He was a 'practical' kinda bloke that loved tinkering around his place and mowing his lawns on his ride on mower.

Avid cricket player & rugby referee (back in the day), and in his retirement, years he loved playing pool and golf while catching up with everyone.

We thank you for your service to our community Nelson, and we trust that Lois will have a chore or 10 lined up for you.

Whanau plan to return with Nelson's ashes next week sometime. When we have confirmation of the day, we will put out another panui inviting our wider community to come together to remember the life of our very own Nelson Truman.

The Club is running an All Blacks Test sweepstake for tomorrow morning’s game.

‼️Kick off Sunday morning at 3.10am NZ time‼️

$10 per entry - 2 parts for each entry:

1 - First AB try scorer (30% of stake)
2 - Winning team and score (70% of stake)

If no winners in either section, the sweep will jackpot to the next AB Test game.

If multiple winners in either section, the pool for that section will be evenly split amongst the winners.

You can post your guess on this page or come to the Club from 5pm to 8pm.

Cut off is midnight 🕛

Any entries received after midnight will not count. You must have your payment to me by midnight (pm Merania Ngarimu for bank account details after 8pm). If I don’t have a screenshot of your payment before midnight, your entry will not count.
