As a small committee of volunteers, keeping an eye on all our trails is a big job. Support from park users goes a long way to keeping us going.

Do you regularly ride any of the below trails?

Three Blind Mice, Danger Mouse, Widow Maker, Fred Flintstone, Basil Balls, Cumin Quick, Ginger Cougar, Galvanise.

Can you adopt a trail to be our eyes and let us know about maintenance needs? We are not asking for you to do the maintenance, just to give us a heads up when attention is needed.

If you regularly ride any of the above trails and have time to send us a message every now and then, we'd love to hear from you and put your name down as an adopter.

Please note, all other trails in the park have been adopted. It is just the trails mentioned we are looking for support with.

With thanks to the Tokoroa High School (official) Volunteer Army, our Tokoroa MTB committee, and Hodderville Farms Plant Nursery for supporting us with discounted plants, the Mossop Road entrance track has a fresh new look!

700 native plants were planted along the track on Sunday! Awesome mahi in some less than awesome weather!

Due to winter maintenance, Bam Bam will be closed for the next few weeks. We will have signs up on Bedrock Rise during this closure.

Please respect the trail closure to avoid damaging the trail (which will cause more work for our team and an extended closure).

Spring Cup 2026 dates are locked it! Get ready for a fun few weeks of grassroots racing with your mates while making new mates! Registration will be open in the coming weeks. Watch this space, but for now, put these dates on your calendar.

We are looking forward to hosting the opening round this year and will do our best to start the series with a bang!

Spring Cup is dedicated to promoting youth development in XCO. From this year, a percentage of any entries profit from will go towards a scholarship fund for Spring Cup riders that will be racing internationally. To be eligible for funding support in 2027, riders must enter at least 3/5 Spring Cup events in 2026. More details to come, but to put it simply, every entry helps dreams come true.

After a four year hiatus, how good was it to have Cougar Trail Run back in Tokoroa earlier this month!

It was great to see Total Sport NZ bringing the event back, with over 700 runners and walkers enjoying the sunny winter day (after the very frosty start ❄️☀️)

A big shout out to the Total Sport team, everyone who participated, and to our club volunteers for prepping the trails, marshals duties, aid stations, and manning the BBQ.

Forestry felling, please read.

Crews will start tree felling on Tuesday 7th July at Ken Road.

Do not go on Ken Road until further notice. Stick to marked trails. Do not cross the banners on Ken Road. This is for the safety of everyone and of our park.

Cougar Trail run returns this Saturday (4th) and is set for a record turnout! The park will be closed on Saturday until late afternoon for the event.

There is still time to enter and join the fun! Online entry closes today at 10am. On the day entry is available (+ late fee).
