Radiant Zebra I help people who struggle with invisible chronic conditions such as EDS, CFS and ME, to reconnect with the world. Hello, my name is Elizabeth.

Enabling them to rediscover their sense of self and how they can progress in their health journey without overwhelm. I am a health coach. My personal story is that I have lived with EDS, MACS, POTS, CFS and a whole pile of the other associated acronyms for 60 years. These conditions have had a massively impact my life and mental health. The mental health because I found I was let down by the traditional medical system, either because they did not believe me (you are stressed, it is all in your head), or they did believe me but had no tools to help me. The two curses of having an invisible chronic condition. I was finally diagnosed with EDS 5 years ago and all the crazy seemingly disparate symptoms and problems finally made sense. My saviour has been my lifetime interest in health and lifestyle medicine. From the first book I purchased at 14 on herbs, through to studying human nutrition at University, to a long career working with new innovations in the health space. My personal lifelong struggle with EDS, chronic fatigue, food and chemical sensitives, subluxations, sprains, soft tissue damage etc only deepened interest in these areas as I searched for tools and strategies to help myself. This has enabled me to function at a reasonable level. It has also given me the resilience to float through the really tough times. Having EDS and CFS means I have had my fair share of those. This is the experience I that I now share with others. If any of this resonates with you, please feel free to start a conversation.

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is a rare genetic disorder which affects the connective tissue; that glue that holds all the cells in the body together. This is why people with EDS so often also suffer from chronic fatigue; their bodies have to work so much harder than normal just to accomplish everyday activities. The mascot for someone with EDS is the zebra. The reason for this is explained beautifully in the video below, along with a great description of the condition.

This video is part of a series about a rare condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and how working as a multidisciplinary team can improve patient outcomes...
