Leaping Lizards School Of Dance

A fun, inclusive dance school!! Pre school to Teens. "Dance with your heart and your feet will follow."

Recreational classes in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap and preschool classes 😊 Studios in Wellington City, Churton Park and Johnsonville. Leaping Lizards prides itself on it's first class dance tuition within a fun and relaxed environment. We do not offer exams as we focus on sharing our love of dance through creative, original, up to date choreography rather than a set syllabus. All children are welcome at Leaping Lizards and they can dance for pure fun and enjoyment. We look forward to welcoming you into the Leaping Lizards family.

Our wonderful, dedicated student Klara is currently featuring in “Matilda, The musical”, at the St James Theatre, Wellington. The whole cast have been rehearsing for months and the show is fabulous! You will also get to see Natasha McAllister, who covered Jazz classes whilst Lorna was away for her big trip, and Natasha was taught by Lorna too!

If you are interested in seeing Klara perform, her dates are:
Wed 23.09 7.30pm
Fri 25.09 7.30pm
Sat 26.09 7.30pm
Tues 29.09 7.30pm
Thurs 01.10 7.30pm
Sat 03.10 2pm
Sun 04.10 4pm
Wed 07.10 7.30pm
Fri 09.10 7.30pm
Sat 10.10 7.30pm

The show runs from 23.09.26-11.10.26 - see Ticketmaster for details & tickets.

Even if you can’t make it to the shows Klara is in, it is still worth going along to the show. Live theatre is something else - magical, feel good, creative, dreamy! And so good for dancers and performers to see and experience. It is rare in Wellington to have good quality Theatre/Musical Theatre/Dance visit us so it’s vital we support and develop our children’s love of and exposure to the arts 🙂

If you are thinking of going along and would like a discount code please email me at [email protected]
and I will share 😍

It is also good to recognise that even a small dance school like Leaping Lizards can produce performers fit for the National stage - Klara won her role over 250 other young hopefuls!! Hard work, passion and dedication is all that is needed 🤩

Wishing you all a wonderful week 😀
