Our U10 McCartney Tournament team did amazing at Taupō last wknd. It was a huge three days of football, playing 9-aside amongst tough competition.

Out of 13 teams, the team finished up in third place, which they were very proud of! Go Tawa!
Congrats to our neighbours at Onslow for winning the U10 grade.

The boys rose to the challenge superbly, playing some quality football, with awesome teamwork and spirit throughout.

Thanks to our team sponsors MRG Civil Limited and Gola Gates Ltd for assistance in getting the team kitted up.

Special mention to our coaches Craig and Teakin and manager Bridget for your effort, patience and passion to lead the team.

Thank you to tournament organisers for putting together a fantastic wknd of football.

⚽️Tawa Force are tournament runners‑up out of 20 teams! 26 goals scored and only 4 conceded in 6 games. The team played brave, exciting football throughout, and Quinn took home the Golden Boot.

Highlights: Finn’s brilliant header; Occy scoring direct from a corner; Fintan’s first of the season—wishing him a speedy recovery; Zac’s clinical finishing; Ezra’s long‑range free kick; Luke and Kaiden terrorising the wings; Victor’s goal‑saving tackles; Occy and Ezra stepping into goal; and Tilley reffing.

Huge thanks to our whānau—proud of the whole squad!

The Tawa Under 8’s went to the Wellington United Extra Time tournament and had a fantastic day. It was a well-run tournament with plenty of competitive football played. With 5 pool games to decide the winner against Onslow, Upper Hutt, Stokes Valley, Palmerston North Lions and Western Suburbs, Tawa scored 30 goals and conceded 0 to win all 5 games and take the tournament win. Our award winners were Hugh Matheson (Best Attacker), Riley Crosby (Best Defender) and Xavier De Oliveira (Spirit of the Game).

The U13 Dragons and Taniwha joined forces for a fantastic day at the Wests Tournament yesterday.

The team really came together from the very first game, and played with real passion and commitment throughout the day.

Having put in some solid performances during the group stage, they then faced back to back penalty shootouts in their playoff matches. Franklyn was the hero in the first against KCU, first making a smart save before stepping up to score the winning penalty!

Unfortunately they couldn't quite manage a repeat in the next match against Petone.

A huge effort from the players though, well done team!

It was the end of an era yesterday as the U13 Titans wrapped up their Tawa junior football journey with their final tournament together.

More than a team, this group has been a family and a community for all the players and whanau who have been lucky enough to be involved. A number of the team have been playing together since First Kicks and have shared many special moments which will become lifelong memories.

The way the team has played, their attitude, their commitment, their humility in victory, and grace in defeat, has been a credit to them all, and to their amazing coaches James & Asa.

Their performance on the pitch over the years has also been nothing short of outstanding with multiple tournament victories and top-2 finishes.

The Wests Tournament at Endeavour Park yesterday provided a fitting farewell for the team as they went unbeaten through a tough pool stage without conceding a goal, made it past Karori in the QF, only to be knocked out by eventual champions Petone in the SF. A free flowing match in the 3rd/4th playoff vs PN Marist was a great way to sign off, with the Titans finishing the day in 3rd place.

We will be watching on closely as this talented young group of players take the next steps on their football journey!
