Starts their junior tennis coaching programme on Friday 12 September, and they'd love to encourage more local children to get involved in tennis.

The programme is open to all ages and abilities, including beginners, with sessions at 9:30am and 10:30am.

Grades are Year 1/2, Year 3/4, Year 5/6 (5-aside). The games are played at Awakairangi Park From 4pm and are 30 min rotations.

We are simplifying student transactions at our school with the help of Kindo. Kindo Shop makes it easy for you to: make full or part sports fee payments, support fundraisers, purchase event tickets and order lunch.

New to Kindo?

Kindo is easy to set up and use. Just go to our school website:

1. Use the ‘create account’ option, to set up an account.
2. Depending on the school setup, you will either enter in the email address the school has on file for you, and your students will automatically be added.
3. Or you will add in your details as account holder, and your students’ details as members to the account.

Already a Kindo user?
If you have used 'Kindo' or 'Ezlunch' at another school you can log in to your existing account and update your details.
1. Log in to myKindo.co.nz.
2. Select the 'My Details' page and add a new student to your account or edit an existing students' details.
3. A student can belong to two or more schools or organisations. Just select 'add membership' to the student and select our school from the dropdown list.

Message from Basketball Hutt Valley.

This is a reminder there are no basketball games this Monday 31st August - Thursday 3rd September due to College Sport Week.

There will be games for Year 1&2 teams on Friday though.

Next week will be semi-finals for all Year 5&6 and Year 7&8 grades. The draw for these games will be up later this week. Finals for these grades will be on Wed 16th and Thur 17th September.

Year 3&4 grades will have one more round robin game on Monday 7th Sept, followed by finals on Mon 14th Sept.

Year 1&2 grades will have their last round robin game this Friday 4th Sept, followed by finals next Friday 11th September.

Another reminder to please pass on to your teams - please no bouncing balls on the sidelines, this makes it difficult for our officials and referees to run the games on court. Please ensure your team is sitting down on the sidelines or away from the court with balls.

REGISTRATIONS OF INTEREST FOR NON STOP CRICKET TOURNAMENT

The Upper Hutt Primary Schools Sports Association “Non Stop Cricket Tournament” is being held on Tuesday 22nd September (with a PP day on Thursday 24th September), at Maidstone Turf and our school is keen to offer our students the opportunity to play in this Tournament.

Students will walk down and back to the turf.

This event is open to all interested Year 3-6 students for selection into our team entries, however we will be prioritising non-cricket players in team selection if numbers are high.

We can only enter 4 teams of 8 students across the Senior Syndicate (two Y5/6 and two Y3/4). Tournament is an 8-aside non-stop cricket format with 8 players per team.

FUTURE FERNS NETBALL 2026 - TERM 4

Year 1/2 - The aim is to develop fundamental movement and basic Netball skills. The 4 v 4 game format allows players to pass, catch and shoot from day one.
This programme is held outdoors at the Taita Netball Courts by Netball Hutt Valley and played for six weeks on Saturday mornings in Term 1 from 9am starting Saturday 31 October 2026

This is completely dependent on Parental Support. No practices are required at school.

Year 3/4 - 5v5: five players from each team on the court at any one time.
This programme is held outdoors at the Taita Netball Courts by Netball Hutt Valley and played for six weeks on Saturday mornings in Term 1 from 9am starting Saturday 31 October 2026

Fees for this season are $45 per player and payable once a team is confirmed.

Floorball - Term 3/4

Venue: The Professionals Recreation Hall, Whirinaki Whare Taonga
Years: Year 3/4 & Year 5/6 teams
Cost: $60 per player - minimum team of 6

Grades are Year 3/4, Year 5/6 (4-aside - one goalie and three players). The games are played at the Professionals Recreation Hall in Upper Hutt From 4pm, are 2x10 min halves, and gear is provided.

However, we need parental support to help us with this opportunity. We need at least one parent manager or coach per team please, to be responsible for the team, collect shirts and on the day to sub the players on and off. Without this help we are unable to enter teams in the competition. Ideally a Coach for each team would be great.
