Venue: We are at our new venue. The weights room at Upper Hutt College on Moonshine Road, Upper Hutt. The weights room is at the Western (SH2) end of the school as part of the Gym complex, entry from the Moonshine Road side.

Thanks to Kapiti Olympic Lifting for hosting yesterday’s Weightlifting New Zealand Technical Officials workshop. Five new TOs sat their exam and two current TOs had their knowledge refreshed. Lots of great questions and knowledge passed on, we now know that a unitard can be two piece and a costume is a lifting suit 😊

We have limited warm up platforms (3) so you will be sharing.

The space is smaller than our previous one so please be mindful of other lifters as you move around.

Spent this morning installing the new comp platform and three warm up platforms at our new venue. First comp is 31 Jan next year. Get signed up via the Weightlifting NZ site, will post a link in comments.
The comp is an early opportunity to get qualified for North and South Island champs as well as Nationals and Masters Nationals so tick ✅ that box early in the new year 😊
