Thank you Emma, Eva and Elisa for the fantastic workshop held at Whirinaki Whare Taonga over the weekend 🛼 it was fantastic having a local learning opportunity for skaters of all levels and our coaches.

We’ve definitely come away feeling invigorated and inspired! Would you like to see more skating workshops in the Hutt Valley? Drop a comment and let us know!

Let’s hear it for all the volunteers who do amazing mahi across Upper Hutt Roller Skating Club 👏

We were beyond gobsmacked to find out last month that we were the 🏆Winner 🏆 of the Wellington Airport Regional Community Award, Sport & Leisure, Upper Hutt Region!

These awards celebrate the volunteers who make our club what it is, so really, this is a shout-out to all the volunteers behind the scenes, quietly doing the day-to-day mahi that keeps the club running, the small stuff that often goes unseen but makes everything possible 🙌

He tāngata – it is the people. It’s thanks to everyone single one of you that we’re glad to see out another year in Te Awakairangi, and see so many people enjoy putting on some skates.

A huge thank you to Wellington Airport and Upper Hutt City Council for taking the time to both recognise and celebrate the huge breadth of unpaid mahi that is done across our communities 💛 we’re excited to attend the finals for the whole region come November (drop a comment… should we get someone to wear their rollerskates to the event…)
