Farewell to Patric, welcome to Simon and Welcome to our new home.
It is a sadness that we say farewell to our Club Administrator and first team player, Patric Murphy who will wrap up his administrative role on October 31st to take a full-time position at the local school where he currently works part-time.
Over the past two years, Patric has helped guide the club through major operational shifts, including the whole-of-football change and the rollout of our new registration platform. With his support this year, we have also achieved entry into the new leagues.
He has put in an enormous amount of work which we trully appreciate. We wish hiim well!
The 2026–2027 season puts to bed to an end an exhausting amount of work behind the scenes for Papamoa FC. Over the past four years, a number of people have worked tirelessly to develop our facilities and infrastructure at Gordon Spratt Reserve, ensuring our club can reach its full potential. As a result the park is on track to become one of the top facilities for all codes in the country. We are the only club to hold a National league licence for clubs outside the top tier.
New Clubrooms
By late March or early April, our purpose-built football clubrooms will be complete. Securing a 12-month lease on this space will allow us to launch new initiatives and community events that were not previously possible. These facilities will be located next to our new storage sheds in the new car park area which means, for the first time, we wil be lcoated in the vacinity of all our fields. This creates alot of opportunity,
Welcoming Simon Insley
To support the new clubrooms and manage our expanding operations, the board has created a full-time Club Operations Manager position. Simon Insley joins us in this role on November 1st to oversee daily operations and guide the club through this next phase.
