BREAKING NEWS!
We are working on a new venue for 2026 as unfortunately the event has outgrown the location at Waihi Beach. We recently visited another location which ticked a lot of boxes so we are working to try and make it happen. It won't be at the usual time of early January but late summer or early spring.

Well what can we say about the 2025 Jalopy Dust Up yesterday? We were DAMN lucky with the weather without 1 drop of rain and instead of sunburn we may have got a bit of windburn. We were so close to postponing the event and glad we didn't.
Thank you to the racers for putting on a great show, our sponsors Classic Cover Insurance, Rocket Hot Rods, GMS Hot Rods and V8 Specialty Interiors for your support, the Waihi Beach Dirt Track Club for being so good to work with, Graeme & Rachel Brown for the extra parking paddocks, media for the event coverage and the Whangamata Waka Ama Club for providing the shuttle van service. And lastly to our dedicated Crew who work tirelessly all day. We couldn't hold the event without you all!
We were pleased with the racing which was fun and plus the number of new racers and race cars.

The signs are up and we are ready for the Jalopy Dust Up 2025 tomorrow!
And thanks to Farmer Brown we have 2 beautifully mown paddocks for general parking plus we have 2 shuttle vans that will take you from the car park to the entry gate for a gold coin donation to a local community group.
Practice laps start from 9:30am tomorrow with racing from 10am
We are watching the weather forecasts which are improving and looking good! We can handle a couple of showers during the day however we will be giving updates from 7:30am tomorrow.
