Would be great if you could go and enter Waikanae Rugby for a chance to win.

There are levels to this ...
Aaron (Azza) Lahmert will play his 100th game for Horowhenua Kapiti when they play Thames Valley in Levin on Saturday. Azza will become the provinces 10th Centurion. His Rugby CV is outstanding including New Zealand Heartland selection in 2016, 2018 and 2019.

Its the story behind the highlight reel teams, that is more impressive. Azza never made an age grade representative side. He played 3 seasons of Under 55 KG Grade at Paraparaumu College. He never made the Paraparaumu First XV. Out of college he played for 3 and a half seasons (starting in the 80/80s B team) before he got his Waikanae Senior A debut.

Nothing has been given to Azza, its all been earnt through resilience, hard work and determination. He's been told he wasn't big enough or wasn't good enough but he never gave up. Every injury, he came back.

We couldn't be more proud of you Azza, you are such a great role model for our juniors and the wider Waikanae rugby community.
