LOVE TENNIS IS COMING!

We’re looking forward to Love Tennis next Sunday, 13 September, from 10am–2pm! 💙

This week, we’re excited to be visiting Waikanae Primary School and Kapakapanui School to put on some fun tennis demos and hand out our special Golden Tickets!

These tickets are a fantastic new initiative that gives kids the opportunity to get involved in tennis and GO INTO A DRAW TO WIN a family membership for a full year when they visit participating Love Tennis clubs.

So come along, have a hit, meet the team and discover how much fun tennis can be! 💙

Quizzers, Triv nerds, Competitive types... or not! Get your team together for a fun, yes fun, night of food, laughter and "fun facts" you did or didn't know!!

We are serving a meal first up and will have our club bar operating with EFTPOS, as well as cash raffles, all to support our great wee club!

Love Tennis is a nationwide initiative where participating tennis clubs across New Zealand open their doors to welcome prospective members of all ages and abilities. It's a fantastic opportunity for people to come along, give tennis a go for free, and experience what their local club has to offer.

It’s been great to see our Mixed Winter Interclub teams back out on the courts for another exciting and fun season!

This year, we have six teams entered again and are excited to have two competing in A Grade, alongside teams in C, D and H Grades, offering a great range of competitive opportunities for our players.

After a fair bit of rain over the last couple of weeks, yesterday served up perfect tennis weather in Waikanae – sunshine, and not a breath of wind – making for an enjoyable day of tennis all round.

Congratulations to all of our winners from the weekend, and best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season.

This year on Friday 10 July we were excited to introduce the Matariki Tournament to our club calendar, and what a fantastic afternoon it was!

The Yankee-style format, with players randomly partnered throughout the tournament, was a huge success and brought together a wonderful mix of members from across the club for some fun and friendly competition.

The afternoon was rounded off with gourmet burgers, refreshments, plenty of time to relax and socialise, and a specially crafted (and delicious!) Matariki chocolate cake.

A wonderful way to celebrate Matariki and our club community!

Friday Afternoon Ladies Go Pink!

On Friday 29 May, our Friday Afternoon Ladies enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of tennis followed by a beautiful High Tea in support of the Pink Ribbon Appeal for the Breast Cancer Foundation.

After an afternoon on the courts, everyone gathered in the clubhouse to enjoy a glass of champagne, generously donated by our court sponsor, Sharalyn Fraser. Members also contributed a wonderful selection of delicious treats, beautifully presented in true High Tea style.

The afternoon was filled with fun, including a cleverly put-together Pink Quiz and a Pink Swap Table, ensuring everyone went home with a little prize.

Together, the group raised $150, which was generously matched by Sharalyn Fraser, enabling them to donate $300 to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, donated, and helped make the afternoon such a success. We look forward to making this an annual event and hope to extend the invitation to even more women from our club next year.

Our Friday Afternoon Ladies group welcomes women of all ages and abilities. Whether you're new to tennis, returning after an injury or a break, or simply looking to build your confidence on the court, we'd love to have you join us.

🎾 Introducing Our New Matariki Tournament!

We're super excited to introduce a brand-new tournament to our club calendar - a fun afternoon of tennis on Matariki Friday.

- From 3.00pm onwards
- $20 entry (includes dinner)
Enter as an individual and enjoy a social doubles tournament where you'll be randomly paired with a different partner each round. You must enter beforehand. Contact the club on [email protected] if you have any questions.
